At ICP Miami we spend most of our time writing about crates, wear parts and shipments headed out of the warehouse. This post is about something different: the relationships behind all of that. Strong business relationships go past the day-to-day transactions, and the partnerships we build with customers, suppliers, financial institutions and the community around us are a real part of how this company works.
Recently, Regions Bank recognized ICP Miami as a valued customer and gifted our team four VIP tickets to a special sporting event. It was a chance to step away from the office for an evening, enjoy a great match, and spend time with family.
A Night in the Stands
The tickets put our group right down near the field, in a stadium full of pink for what looked like a home night in Miami [verify]. Four seats, one family, and a very enthusiastic contingent in Messi shirts and an Argentina jersey.
In the stands before the match, tickets in hand.
The group that used the tickets. Messi shirts on three out of four, and an Argentina jersey on the fourth.
There is no real substitute for being at a match in person. You see the whole field instead of whatever the camera is pointed at, you hear the crowd react a half second before anything happens, and the kids remember it for years.
The view from the seats. Field on one side, a full house of pink on the other.
Pitch-side before kickoff, with the lights up and the stands filling in.
Thumbs up from the row behind. The part of the evening that had nothing to do with work.
Why a Gesture Like This Matters
A bank does not have to do this. Lines of credit, letters of credit and the financing behind a container of parts get handled on paper and in email, and most of the time that is the whole of the relationship. When someone on the other side of that paperwork takes the trouble to say thank you in a way people actually remember, it says something about how they view the account.
We feel the same way about the companies we deal with every day. The customer calling from a yard in Panama or a plant in the Caribbean is not a line item, and the relationship is worth more than any single order. Experiences like this one are a good reminder that the connections built through the business extend well beyond the workplace.
Thank You, Regions Bank
A special thank you to Greg Perrault, VP – Miami Middle Market Banking at Regions Bank, for the generous gesture and for recognizing our relationship with the bank. We are grateful for the partners who support our business and take the time to recognize the work we do. Those relationships are a real part of our continued growth and our involvement in the South Florida business community.
That support is also what sits behind the practical side of what we do for customers: the ability to keep parts in inventory in Miami, to buy ahead of demand, and to turn an order around quickly instead of waiting on financing. If you need parts, attachments or equipment shipped across Latin America and the Caribbean, submit an RFQ with what you are looking for, or contact the team directly and we will come back with availability and lead time.
